This cheesy sauce is 100% vegan, gluten free and Fodmap friendly. Some uses for it include cheesy pasta sauce, pasta bake, can be put on pizza or drizzle over your favorite veggies.
1 Pre Cooked Sweet Potato
1 cup of almond milk (or whatever milk you have)
1 cup of Nutritional yeast
Spices:
Salt
Pepper
Dried Basil
Blend sweet potato and milk together. (Could be done with a fork, hand blender or food processor)
Add the nutritional yeast and stir with a spoon.
Add Pepper and salt, I found that more salt was needed to counteract the sweetness but alter to your taste. You could also add mustard or curry spices.
