Sweet Potato Burgers | Gluten Free| Vegan| Fodmap

These sweet potato burgers are great warm or cold, they can be the main dish or added as a side. You could eat them with veggies or in a sandwich or crumbled over salads. These go amazingly well with sweet chilli sauce, garnished with spring onion or a yummy homemade salsa.

Ingredients:

1 Cup Pre Cooked Sweet Potato
1/4 cup of GF flour
1/4 cup of peas
Almond milk/water or any other milk
(only if the mixture is too dry)
Spices:
Black Pepper
Salt
Mustard Powder
Cayenne Pepper
Paprika
To Cook: oil of your choice (coconut/olive etc)

You could also add small chunks of pepper, beetroot and could be coated in gf breadcrumbs or ground almond by using milk or water to wet the surface.

Mash the sweet potato (it doesn't mater if its a bit lumpy)

Add the flour to the mashed sweet potato and mix.

Add spices (to your taste), peas and your favorite extras.

Use your hands to mold burger shapes with the mixture.

Heat up a oil in a frying pan and cook until they are golden brown each side.

You could let them cool, put them in the fridge and warm them up in the oven when you need them.
You could serve them next to your favorite steamed veggies or this salsa that I served with mine.

If you decide to recreate these let me know in the comments or tag me on instagram :D
